The OPA! of Greece Pita Party for Teachers Giveaway (the “Contest”) is sponsored and administered by Opa Souvlaki Franchise Group Inc. (the “Sponsor”).
Contest Period
The Contest begins on Sunday, September 7, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. MST and closes on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. MST (the “Contest Period”). Entries received after the Contest Period will not be eligible.
Eligibility
The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada who:
Are currently employed as teachers, educators, or school staff members at an educational institution (K–12 public, private, or charter schools) in Canada;
Have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry; and
Are able to verify their employment status as a teacher or school staff member.
Employees of the Sponsor, its franchisees, affiliates, advertising agencies, and members of their immediate families or persons living in the same household are not eligible to enter.
How to Enter
No purchase is necessary.
To enter the Contest, participants must complete all of the following during the Contest Period:
Record a video (maximum 3 minutes) telling us why you love OPA! and why you’d like to share it with your class or fellow teachers and school staff;
Submit your video by either:
Tagging @opaofgreece on Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook, or
Emailing the video to opamedia@opasouvlaki.ca with the subject line “Pita Party Teacher Giveaway”;
Submit contest entry form available at https://tally.so/r/MexxkM
Each participant may submit one (1) entry only. Multiple submissions from the same individual will result in disqualification. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with these rules or that appear to be fraudulent.
Prize
One (1) winner will receive:
A $300 CAD gift card to OPA! of Greece (to be used for a catered party or takeout order at the winner’s local OPA! location);
A box of party supplies (ex. balloons, streamers, party hats); and
The prize:
Is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other prize;
Must be accepted as awarded (no substitutions except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion);
Becomes the responsibility of the winner once awarded. Any taxes, delivery fees, or additional costs associated with prize use are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Winner Selection
One (1) winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
The draw will take place on or before Thursday, October 1, 2026, at approximately 12:00 p.m. MST.
The selected entrant will be contacted via their preferred contact method (email, Instagram DM, TikTok DM, or phone) as indicated in their submission.
The winner will be announced on the official OPA! of Greece social media accounts once winner has been confirmed.
If the selected entrant cannot be contacted, fails to respond within 48 hours, is found to be ineligible, declines the prize, or fails to provide proof of employment status, the Sponsor reserves the right to select another eligible entrant.
Employment Verification
Before the prize is awarded, the winner must provide proof of current employment as a teacher or school staff member. Acceptable proof includes:
School email address;
Staff directory listing or payroll stub;
School employee ID; or
Letter of employment on school letterhead.
Publicity
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that the Sponsor may use their first name, school name, city of residence, and/or video content for promotional purposes relating to this Contest without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. The winner retains all intellectual property rights to their submitted video.
General Conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the Contest at any time should fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control affect the integrity or proper administration of the Contest.
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant found to be tampering with the Contest, violating these Official Rules, providing false employment information, or acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. The Sponsor’s decisions regarding all aspects of the Contest are final.
This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations in Canada.
Privacy
Any personal information collected for this Contest will be used solely for the administration of the Contest, winner notification, and prize delivery. Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act). The Sponsor will not share personal information with third parties without explicit consent.
Social Media Disclaimer
This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or Meta. By participating, entrants completely release Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Meta from any liability associated with this Contest.
